The development strategy of OJSC “SOLIKAMSK MAGNESIUM PLANT” (Permsky region) and LLC “Lovozersky GOK” (Murmansk region)

The purpose of the work was to develop and implement its strategy of creating a vertically integrated diversified holding, producing high-tech products with extra value on the basis of magnesium and rare earth production.

Implemented work:

1. The complete technological scheme for production of magnesium and magnesium alloys, rare earth metals and by-products of magnesium production (chlorine, milk of lime and other) are composed.
2. The complete material balances production of magnesium and magnesium alloys, rare earth metals and by-products of magnesium production (chlorine, milk of lime and other) are composed.
3. The marginal calculation of finished products of OJSC «Solikamsk magnesium plant» was made, the most marginal products are identified.
4. Based on the calculation of margins of products, the most profitable mix of products in terms of greater margins was determined.
5. The base variant of reduction of fixed costs and variable costs of the enterprise were calculated. Economic effect from implementation of projects on reduction of costs was calculated: reduction of downtime of «narrow» places and the construction of a warehouse of raw material storage.
6. Based on the selected nomenclature of the produced products has developed a strategy to increase the profits of OJSC “ Solikamsk magnesium plant” by 2016.
7. Measures for increasing the real and marketing capitalization LLC «Lovozersky GOK» were developed.
8. Actions on realization of strategy of development of the assets of OJSC «Solikamsk magnesium plant» and LLC «Lovozersky GOK» are developed.
